jadzia is so protective and sympathetic of kira in this scene, ranging from so so sad kira’s special drink didn’t work out to indignant that anyone should presume to order kira around about anything. like they are married and jadzia is the most doting-est wife/husband/spouse there ever was. and she is deeply concerned about kira not getting to drink her favorite yummy drink.

love kira and dax being so firmly on the same side here but this joke-y moment is less a joke and more a description of the actual plot they wrote with evidently no real awareness. anyone gonna stop to figure out if kira maybe has complex feelings about an unasked-for pregnancy she only agreed to so her friend wouldn’t die? any one? anyone other than jadzia going to say a single thing even vaguely referencing kira’s autonomy?
